On Wednesday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. the full City Council will hear and vote on the pending Historic-Cultural Monument (HCM) nomination for the Marilyn Monroe Residence. This will be the final vote that hopefully secures permanent protections for Monroe's former home, the first place she sought out and bought for herself and on her own while actively working in 1962. The current owners are seeking to demolish the house and brought a pending legal suit against the City of Los Angeles. To help, please come out in strong support of the Marilyn Monroe Residence by speaking before City Council.
